If you want to learn a few secrets of the very popular dichroic glass jewelry, and have a lot of fun at the same time, this is the class for you! Make 6 pendants using dichroic glass and a pair of earrings. Limited to 6 people per class. A fun, relaxing, non-technical class. See a live firing in class, too! BEGINNING GLASS FUSING WEEKEND, 5 hours/$169.00 SATURDAYS (9AM-11AM) SUNDAYS (9AM-12PM) It's our Introduction to Fusing Class in a weekend format. in-depth fusing class includes 4 fun projects including a tile, a nightlight, 2 pieces of jewelry and a surprise project. No glass experience required. Learn the terms, techniques and basic methods of fusing glass in this exciting class. You will learn about the many components of fusing and play with each of them in your first project. Every class gets to peek in the kiln to see various fusing, slumping and draping techniques in action. Limit 6 students per class. Plan to attend both days Sat/Sun, all hours. ALL CURRENT CLASSES SOLD OUT - MORE TO BE SCHEDULED SOON! NEW - BEYOND THE BASICS FUSING CLASS, 6 hours/$169.00 Ready for more of a challenge in fusing? If you've had our first class or have demonstrated knowledge in the technical aspects, terms and components of glass fusing, we welcome you to participate in this class that teaches new skills in three projects. Work on glass cutting skills as you make a deep dish for slumping, learn about the capabilities of a larger kiln and see demonstrations of what you can do with a large kiln in class, experiment with coldworking techniques including a grinder, ring saw and wet belt sander, and learn about types of molds including drop molds as you make a "dropped" dish. Experiment with patterns as you weave an art glass dish with nothing but stringers and a few of our tricks. Limit 4 students per class. Live firings in each class. Plan to attend all sessions.
