Mary Datwyler is the owner and primary designer of Sunflower Glassworks. With over 15 years of stained glass experience and 20 years of award-winning graphic design, Mary is author of the book, "Petite Prairie Patterns" and other patterns and articles for stained glass. She has been featured in the Albuquerque Journal, Rio Rancho Observer, Business Outlook and has had her work featured on HGTV and KOAT--7. Her work has also been featured in national print catalogs and on Etsy.com. In addition to regularly teaching in the studio with private lessons and small public classes, Mary is an instructor for University of New Mexico (UNM) Continuing Education and has taught grade school children around the metro area about the wonder and science of glass.

Mary is largely inspired by the light, landscape, colors and culture of New Mexico (and the antics of her dachsunds Aeden, Kiernan and Connor). She has lived in New Mexico nearly 18 years.

Mary's glasswork appears in numerous private homes, businesses, trade catalogs and places of worship throughout New Mexico, the US and overseas. Her work has been taken to six continents (anyone headed for Antarctica?). She created the Girasol line of glass jewelry.
